Who Can Access Christians Drive for Life?
Christians Drive for Life Liverpool NSW is a new organisation, and its participant eligibility criteria have not yet been published. This page shows what is known, what is still to be confirmed, and which NSW rules apply to every learner whatever program they are in.

Do I need a learner licence first?
To drive on NSW roads as a learner, yes. That is an NSW Government requirement, not a program rule.
To get a NSW learner licence you must be 16 or over and pass an eyesight test and the Driver Knowledge Test (DKT). You also need proof of identity when you apply.

Some community programs also help people prepare for the knowledge test or gather identity documents before they have a licence. Whether Christians Drive for Life Liverpool NSW will offer this pre-learner support is still to be confirmed. The learner licence page explains the licence stages in more detail.
Does living in Liverpool make me eligible?
Not on its own. The organisation is focused on Liverpool NSW, but living there does not guarantee a place.
Community programs that rely on volunteers can only take as many learners as they have mentors, cars and coordination time for. Where the organisation draws its service boundary has not been published. The Liverpool NSW page covers local context.
How do similar programs decide eligibility?
For comparison only, this is how one established program sets its criteria. It shows the kinds of questions you may be asked. It is not the eligibility of Christians Drive for Life Liverpool NSW.
The application page for The Salvation Army's Drive for Life lists ages 16–21, and in some cases up to 23. The program's main page describes ages 16–25. Applicants select one or more circumstances: experience of homelessness, unemployment, no access to a vehicle, no access to a licensed supervising driver, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander status, financial hardship, mental health, or "other".

Eligibility questions
Can anyone in Liverpool join Christians Drive for Life?
Living in Liverpool NSW does not by itself make someone eligible. Eligibility criteria, capacity and any referral requirements have not yet been published. They must be confirmed with the organisation.
Do I need a learner licence before I can practise driving?
To drive on NSW roads as a learner, you need a NSW learner licence. That requires being 16 or over and passing the Driver Knowledge Test and an eyesight test. This is an NSW Government requirement, not a program rule.
I am over 25. Can I still take part?
The organisation has not published an age range, so ask when you enquire. Under NSW rules, learners aged 25 and over do not have to complete log book hours. They still have to drive with a fully licensed supervisor.
